Life is always interesting with four dogs and a bird in the house; three large dogs (greyhounds), a toy poodle and a canary.

We just returned from a week of vacation - fun, sun, and relaxation! The whole family travelled 6 hours each way in our Toyota Matrix. Thankfully, we have a roof rack and a luggage case because with the 4 dogs and the bird, the entire back area of the car was used.
We all had a wonderful time. Reggie, our toy poodle did alot of swimming - mostly chasing after the tennis ball that was thrown into the lake. Mandy, our female greyhound, for the first time voluntarily went into the water up to her chest. I guess she realized it was cooling, afterall, it was a very hot week. Shadow and Onyx balked at going in the water any deeper than getting their paws wet.
We returned home on Saturday. Everyone was exhausted from another long drive and we were all very happy to be home.
Even our canary, Kirby, was singing again (he does not like "change", just the comfort of his familiar home surroundings).
Now, back to work...
